Could almost be a horror story

Sasha Lewis is doing nothing to end her four year relationship with Lee Simpson. After year one it has been a struggle emotionally, with forty going on fifty year old Sasha, who doing all the placating. Lee is a loose cannon whose escalating abuse of Sasha is actually scary to read. It's all too much for Sasha who prefers to look the other way rather than take positive action. From the first chapter their relationship not only hurts Sasha but impacts her employer and the customers of the firm. Unfortunately a complete innocent must pay the final cost for Sasha's state of denial. An intense read with very Strong emotions for the reader

Hard Lesson

RE:BUILDING SASHA If it is broken, we as partners can not fix it. Mental illness should be treated by doctors. This book made me relive a part of my life I have been trying to forget. This is not just a lesbian book, it is a 'life' book. Great read! Great lessons! Well written! Salima

Obsessisve love/hate

I found this book much more satisfying than Breaking Jaie. I had trouble, at first, accepting that Sasha had stayed with Lee for four years and Bass didn't give me much to understand it. However once I accepted that she had stayed with this near-madwoman the story flowed. I liked Avery--a strong woman who had enough of a notion of self-protection not to jump into chasing Sasha--very much. As I came to know Sasha a little, I still found it difficult to believe she ignored the advice of her friends about Lee and had to have her nose rubbed in contemptuous infidelity to pull her strength to her and evict Lee. Lee is one of the best drawn characters in the book (if the most despicable) and it is quite understandable that she would be attracted to sexy, shallow, Angela. This is a book well worth reading. True rating 3 1/2 stars.
