The Rapture

I have just begun to read this book. I cannot offer a valid opinion at this time.

The Rapture Who will Face the Tribulation

As with other writings of Tim LaHaye, this book makes you stop and think. It is riviting and filled with information that will cause people to evalutate their relationship with the Savior.

Other Scholars Included

"The Rapture" is a welcomed, valuable reference edition for anyone examining eschatology. Dr. Tim LaHaye, of 'Left Behind' notoriety, divides his volume of study into three primary sections. He begins by exposing and then deftly answering the basic challenges to the reality of the Rapture in seven defining chapters approaching the event from as many aspects. Next, the author turns his focus to the timing presented through the pre-tribulation view, including chapters reviewing the other most popular positions of consideration and then closing that section with a final admonition in support of the Pre-Trib stand. The final passage, consisting of six portions, examines the primary attacks on the Pre-Trib position opening with a detailed analysis of John Darby's life and influence on the teaching. Dr. LaHaye helpfully includes documentation by other scholars that have been chronicling Darby's involvement in the Rapture debate over the past century and more. Dr. LaHaye's work is a needful response to the continuing attacks on a position that holds more credibility within Scripture than any other offering for endtime fulfillment. It is positively exciting to be living in the days in which so many prophecies are either being realized or coming to light. And so deep appreciation is rightfully bestowed upon author LaHaye for not only his scholarship, but also his well-advised warning. Dr. LaHaye summons especially all who subscribe to the pre-tribulation pre-millennial view that caution is paramount for all delving into the study of these things which must soon so surely come to pass. An excellent book about God's truth!

Tim Lahaye's book is thoroughly based on scripture. He takes a literal interpretation of God's word on end time events. There are many dissenting views as opposed to the pre-trib rapture view, but they are not biblically sound. The scriptures back up and support a pre-trib view. If you have your bible, read it for yourself! So many times in his book, Lahaye shows that the church will be saved from the wrath to come. The believers in Christ will be raptured and taken out of this world, and he backs this all up with scripture. If you want to know and understand the book of Revelation to a greater degree, and you want to know what will happen when Jesus comes for his bride(the church), then this is the book for you. Tim Lahaye helps to explain God's near-future plan!

This is a work of a scholar, I recommend it.

This book presents very clearly the reasons why the pretrib rapture is the correct view. Not only Jesus taught it, but Christians as early as 217AD believed it. This is not a made up theory, it is based on the Bible. It is the only theory that makes sense. The tribulation period deals with Israel, and it's also God' judgment for the unbelieving world, not for the Church.Unfortunately, a lot of people just accept whatever their pastor teaches them, instead of checking it out for themselves. The Bible is there for anyone who wants to study it. Read LaHaye's book and learn!
