Gamble paid off!

Everyone at my medical school endorses BRS and HY so I wasn't too sure about this series, but I took a gamble (same price as HY with content & ??'s like BRS). I'm glad I did! The book does an excellant job of condensing the relevent information in digestable portions with outstanding diagrams. I read this book over summer before 2nd year, about 5 months after completing my Biochem coursework. I did well in classes but had HMG CoA totally mixed up between ketones and cholesterol (as just one example) but this book put the big picture, comparative information and necessary details together for me. It's a great confidence builder and even though Biochem isn't considered the highest yield topic for Step 1, I would invest in this book.
