Great guide to get into new metal

This is great book that explores the roots of the nu-metal from its very beginning, giving a large explanation of the genres that created this type of music (rock 'n roll, rock, heavy metal, rap, hip-hop, reggae, etc) and the most influencial people and bands in all this music styles, from so-different names like Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Clash, George Clinton, Africa Bambaataa, Basement 5, Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Anthrax, Rage Against the Machine to today's big nu-metal scene names like KoRn, LimpBizkit, Slipknot, Linkin' Park or Papa Roach. The book's title may confuse you but this book is not too particulary oriented to explain the roots of rapcore but the whole (and not very defined) genre of nu-metal (but, of course, rapcore is the most important sub-genre). It clearly explains where this music comes from, maybe so deeply that sometimes, specially at the beginning of the book, you think 'This book is really about metal?' because it really go deep into the history of the main influences of this music such as metal and rap. Moreover, you must read it a couple of times if you want to catch all the information it has: albums, bands, names, dates...it's a really large compilation of data to take it all in just one reading.'Rapcore, The Nu-Metal Rap Fusion' is probably the most complete guide you could find nowadays about the new school metal and all his sub-genres, of course specially the most important of all: the rap-metal/rapcore or whatever you wanna call it.
