ranma 1/2 vol.35

Great book to read for preteens and older ones as well. I hope the last volume is just as good.

The beginning of the end. The final storyline begins!

Has it really been almost 15 years since Viz started publishing the Ranma 1/2 manga in the US? A lot sure has happened since then. Ranma's dealt with all sorts of curses, rivals, fiancees, and martial arts hilarity. Now there's only one challenge left for Ranma: saving Jusenkyo. If he succeeds, he may finally have the chance to undo his curse and never have to be a girl again. If he fails, he'll be stuck as a half-boy half-girl forever... and possibly lose someone close to him. There it is. The stage is set for the Ranma and the rest of the Nerima gang's final hour. The cursed characters return to China to face Kima and her cronies, intent on keeping her from draining to Jusenkyo in order to revitalize her leader, a god named Saffron. But when it turns out that one of the good guys is a traitor, and when someone important to Ranma is taken from him, the outcome of the battle begins to look bleak. Despite the fact that there is a bit more of a serious side to this arc, there is still a bit of Takahashi's usual humor to keep things from becoming too serious, and this mixture thankfully keeps the story quite entertaining to read... the only problem is that it ends, which leaves three months to wait until the finale! See you in November when everything finally comes to an end.
