Brilliant writting - intense, shocking and scariest of all realistic!!!!

Wow!!! Rage is a chilling story about a lonely, desperate, distressed young man (Ben). Ben's character is very 'real'. You can sympathise with Ben. You can understand his need for acceptance, love and affection...you find yourself wanting to help Ben. You soon come to realise that Ben's issues are more profound than yours...and...then come the horrendous, bloodcurdling events!!! Events that are unspeakable & downright nauseating!!! Events that actually do take place in our world!!! Gerlach is a brilliant writer. He accurately captured what life could be like for people as disturbed as Ben. This book is terrifying because it mirrors reality!!!!

STEVE GERLACH AT HIS BEST!!!!

Dark, chilling & addictive, this sick & twisted tale will have you hooked! Great characterization & visualization from a talented writer. I would highly recommend this book to all fans of the genre as RAGE is a truly unforgetable read.

Top marks for Gerlach

Compelling, thrilling, horrifying, gripping, sickening, challenging, disturbing, and masterfully written. All the stuff an intense psychological horror should be. No, it is not for the kids or faint of heart. Not for the squeamish either. But if this is your style of fiction, you won't find many authors that can do it better. Well written and had to be painstakingly researched. There are more books out there from this author? Bring it ON!!!

A horror writer with a new twist!

I enjoyed Rage. It was not a 'nice' book, but it was never intended to be. I think it shows an excellent portrayal of a seriously disturbed young man's descent into madness. Talk about the last straw that breaks the camels back - this book is an excellent example of that. So next time folks, think about that one, little, annoying thing you might do to someone else.....it might just tip them over the edge!!!!! Well done to Steve Gerlach. I look forward to his future publications. Those of you who are concerned about your kids reading this stuff....you kinda had an idea what you were getting into by reading the blurb - so don't leave it lying around for your kids to pick up - easy fix!!

Rage

Rage tells the story of Ben Jackson, an insecure college student who is getting sick of the way women treat him. They look down at him, they reject him, they treat him like a piece of trash. At least, this is how Ben sees it. Nobody knows, but deep inside, everything is starting to get too much for him. Slowly, anger starts building up inside of him. And how Ben deals with this anger..........well, I don't want to spoil that for you, but it is well worth finding out. Gerlach's style of writing is cold and crystal clear. The book is very easy to read, yet you can still picture the scenes in your mind with ease. For me, there was never a dull moment, never did I feel I had to skip paragraphs because they were boring. Every sentence is fun to read, even in situations that would be boring in other books, such as Ben going to the library, or talking to his parents. If you don't appreciate reading scenes of fairly graphic sex or mutilation, then Rage probably isn't for you. There are only a few of these moments, but they are fairly extreme. If, like me, this is how you like your fiction, then Rage is sure to satisfy. Rage really has it all: love; sorrow; death; happiness and anger. If you like your fiction hard-hitting and bloody, then Rage is for you. So to find out how Ben Jackson spirals out of control, and who he takes his rage out on, buy this book. You won't regret it.
