A Wonderful Read

So many memorable characters! They'll stay with you, forever changing your view of the holiday and the special man for whom it is named.

ESCAPE YOUR CURRENT REALITIES AND PLUNGE INTO THE PAST!

This book needs to have a warning on the cover!! The mature reader is pulled into the story so totally that housework won't be done, meals won't be cooked and laundry will pile up!I thoroughly enjoyed the emotional roller coaster ride as I travelled along with Patrick, eagerly awaiting his next breathtaking adventure. It is very encouraging to read that God could use the life of such a man to help so many others. Patrick's life shows that ANYONE can be used by God....if you are "willing".This truly is "a Story Worth Telling" and I'm glad the author followed her Calling. I encourage her to write more!

This is a Fabulous Book!

I, Patrick, a Sinner... is one of the best written books I have ever read. Although I have no particular interest in St. Patrick or the Irish, I found this book to be totally engaging and absolutely fascinating. You can't put it down once you start reading it! From the very beginning, the book engages the reader in the story and the characters. This book is not about religion, it is about a man, his struggles to understand his life and the lives around him. It is an uplifting story about acceptance, trust, and spirit under the harshest of circumstances. Values, ethics and belief - we are faced with daily decisions which affect our moral fiber. This book shows us intimately how one person throughout his lifetime dealt with difficult issues and found the strenght to continue against incredible odds. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading, and everyone who enjoys biographies and history.

This book is incredible!

I never knew anything about St. Patrick - apart from the fact you wore green on his feastday - until I read Ms. Swinnea's novel. What an experience! Pirates, slaves, evil druids; all the trappings of fantasy, yet it's unbelievably real! I don't think it's possible to find a better read all summer - or even all year!
