This is a practical guide to quilting, packed with innovative ideas and useful tips to the craft. Contains many new patterns, all with detailed diagrams and step-by-step instructions, with... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book was published in 1982. It predates rotary cutters, mats & acrylic rulers. The method described is totally hand pieced and hand quilted. It is so out-of-date as to be of no possible use today. Pages and pages of the book are taken up with hand-drawn cutting diagrams: it looks like someone's workbook. The few color pictures are primitive by today's standards. Don't waste your money or your time.

Quilt as you go

This is a very good beginners book. The instructions are clear and easy to understand. Although the only color photos are in a middle section, the black/white photos and line drawings are helpful. The quilt as you go idea and frame(construction directions are included) make a large task seem more do-able.
