Pursuit of the Holy

This book is so amazing, and so is the author! He makes sure we understand that God created us with a purpose, and that purpose is to pursue God with all of hearts and minds! He gives instructions straight from God Himself on how to go about this journey, and makes sure, we as Christians, understand our position in the body of Christ, and that this journey of truly knowing God's heart is not just a one day journey! He encourages us to put away the things we have "heard" about God, and just set out on this journey of knowing God straight from God's heart! I haven't looked at my journey the same since I read this book. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to know the knowledge of God's heart.

I heard Corey Russell's truth drenched speech at a Campus Harvest conference. Confronted with my poverty of spirit, I sobbed uncontrollably and fell to my knees in prayer at the conclusion of his message. As a new Christian (November 2008 marked year two! Praise God!) I purchased this book at a time when my zeal for Christ and the things of God were waning. Through the Bible and Corey's writings I learned that the knowledge of God must not only dwell in the mind but in the heart and manifest itself in our everyday lives. I am looking forward to a new year of intimate intercession, study of the Word, and pursuit of the Holy!
