I ordered this book because we have always been Shar Pei owners and Pugs are very much different in every way. This book helped us to understand our new Pug, Coco's personality and that is what we needed. We already had her, as our children brought her home as gift on Christmas Eve. I needed something quick to help me after the aloofness of owning 3 Shar Pei's. This book helped us to get in the groove and to understand our baby puglet and we love her so much, I would have been totally lost with it's help. It arrived in perfect condition and I find that I still refer to it on many occasions to make sure that I am doing everything right.
New dog owners take a look

I do not yet own a Pug, and I felt like this was a great book to get to know how to handle a new puppy. I liked that they have pictures ranging from what fleas look like to common eye diseases. I wouldn't recommend it to people who have short attention spans, it isn't necessarily really "fun" to read, but it is informative and easy to understand. I have read some Pug dog books that are very biased, and this one is more neutral, which I appreciated because you should make your own decisions based on information you recieve about how to raise your dog. I went through it and highlighted parts that I felt would be good to come back to if needed (how dorky am I), since this book is somewhat laid out as a textbook would be. If you are serious about adopting a Pug, this is a great book to start out your journey!
