Historical fiction remains true to Mormon heritage
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 17 years ago
Lance Williams does a great job of converting the dramatized version of this story into a book with a blend of historical information about the early Latter-day Saints who settled the Salt Lake Valley and a fictional tale of love and loss. For those unfamiliar with "Mormon" history, this book will shed light on the bigotry which forced them to leave their behind their homes - sometimes entire cities - to escape mob violence. The book will ring true to those who are already well versed in such things. Nice job, Lance. -- RuthAnn
