I saw a presentation on smart clients at the PDC and immediately bought this book. I have read several chapters and am very satisfied. It seems that most others here are as well. If you are considering this book, I would tell you to buy it for one reason: the book is thorough and concise. The book talks about all of the relevant smart client concepts, from development to deployment. Very nice.

My company has decided to rewrite a web application as a smart client and I didn't know anything about smart clients. I bought this book and, literally, over a weekend learned what I feel I need to build a smart client that will satisfy the needs of our application. I am going to recommend this book in our next .NET Users Group meeting.

I loved reading this book. This book showed me how to best use web services in the real world. The case studies and illustrations of web services within an SOA really drove me to write this review. I loved this book. I learned alot. I recommed this book. This book can teach the student and the teacher something.

This is THE Smart Clients book! If you are going to be implementing smart clients, you must read this book. The first few chapters will make you an expert. I've been working with smart clients before they were called smart clients...and I have learned from this book!
