Painfully Boring, confusing...etc etc

I know Dr. Finley, he was one of my professors at CSCC. I read his book, it's extremely boring. Has a lot of information that I'm not sure that would help someone who works in the printing industry. I think maybe in the future some of the text in this book would be usefull (I hope.). If not, then why is this book still available to buy??? It's not worth it, to buy it. His book has a lot of history and chemistry and blah blah blah in it... I hope you can stay awake when trying to read this book.

What this Book Did For Me

This book is an incredible thing! I discovered that not only is the book ABOUT paper, but it is MADE OF PAPER (and inks, also)! The content of the book is irrelevent, but I have discovered that certain parties (we refer to them here as Locust) found use for this quality publication in the following manners:1) set upon it a very healthy plant (outdoors) so that it may even more fully feel the sunshine and other things out there.2) pages may be used as 'floating sampan rafts' to carry tiny people (and bits of paper knowledge also) down stream to needy cultures.3) the cover = canoe4) man, if you wing this publication across a well lit room, the fiery red cover looks much like a blessed cardinal in flight upon the early winds of spring etcany questions, email me and i can help your book also find creative uses and such.dougie c.

Excellent resource for those interested in printing.

Charles Finley, in his book "Printing Papers and Ink" does a wonderful job exploring the complex issues of paper and ink and how it applies to the printing process. I would strongly recommend this resource for those who are interested in the printing industry.

It made me laugh, it made me cry...

I know the guy that wrote this book. He is one of my prof's at Columbus State Community College. And about two years ago I had him for a class called "Paper + Ink." And guess which book he used to teach it. That's right. This book has lost of info in it. At the time I was taking the class I thought it was boring. Now after taking more graphic communication classes I now see that the info in that book is very, very useful to know. I still have it and will have it for a long time.
