I love the dresses in this one. The men are handsome and the ladies are pretty. This film has the story much more romantic (and by that, I mean all five girls find future husbands in the end). I would say, out of the Pride and Prejudice movies that I've seen (and I have seen quite a few) this one is the best.

This is the first film adaptation of Jane Austen's masterpiece but do not expect it to truly resemble the classic novel. Hollywood in the 1940's produced several films based on popular novels - key word based. That being said, this is a delightful film - Greer Garson is a joy - grace , witty and a joy to watch! She has a whole different approach to Lizzie Bennett. Recommend if you are a fan of older films
