Excellent resource

I've used the book in my own training consulting business and found it very helpful in presenting new ideas to management teams. It has been so valuable that I provided copies to key clients and friends for their own use. For those not used to presenting ideas to management teams, this is quite an eye-opener. Most often we think that good ideas will rise on their own and be received with the full acceptance they deserve. We often fail to understand the culture and dynamics at work in senior management and how difficult it is for any idea to gather support on its own. This book does an excellent job of painting that picture and providing tangible ways to build support for new ideas. While it is tailored to training roles and responsibilities there is no reason the information provided cannot be used for other functions in an organization. I've used several of the concepts during training for newly assigned Navy officers and civilians on how to work effectively at senior command headquarters.
