I bought this book back in 1997 and needed to replace this. It is a deep spiritual book and with intense study into what this prayer will and can do for each believer in America. It is good for study, and it is twice as good for meditation. Looking deeper into my soul and to renew my mind gives strength to my character. I enjoy many books by Elmer L. Towns such as Fasting for Spiritual Breakthrough; I am in a continual walk with the Lord and fasting and praying go together for powerful breakthroughs. Biblical Meditation for Spiritual Breakthrough: Cultivating a Deeper Relationship with the Lord Through Biblical Meditation is another book that is written by David in the Psalms on meditation, and this is how I developed meditation. Towns gives a more meaningful insight to this essential practice to Jesus Followers.

This book is very readable and a great jumping off place for a small group Bible study in discussions about the role of prayer in our lives. The folksy illustrations are inviting and thoughtful. We are enjoying these studies very much. One chapter per session is a good pace.

The book is very insightful. The way the prayer is broken down and dissected is enlightning. I recommend this book. It is a fast informative read.

As the other reviewer, I learned The Lord's Prayer when I was old enough to talk but I never understood it. Praying the Lord's Prayer for Spiritual Breakthrough truly opened my eyes. I always wondered why we prayed at night..."Give us this day our daily bread" when we were about to sleep. This book will truly give you a true understanding of asking God to guide your steps throughout the day as you by communicating with God through The Lord's Prayer.

As a child I learned the Lord's Prayer but I didn't know the power or understand the power that is behind praying the Lord's Prayer.
