Prayer: The Cry for the Kingdom!

Grenz was truly a blessing to the church. Most of my life I have stuggled not only to pray, but to know how to pray. There are many books that have been written on the topic. Grenz's book is certainly different than most books on prayer. I believe Grenz is right on target with prayer in the context of the Kingdom of God. Man is not the center of prayer. The Kingdom of God is the center. How do you pray for yourself? How do you pray for lost people? How do you pray for your enemies? How do you pray for world leaders and their kingdoms? Grenz beautifully teaches the reader how to pray with God's glory and fame in full view. His mother was a prayer warrior and his life and his prayers are reflective of it. I think you will find all of Grenz's books are easy and thought-provoking reads. Most of all, his writing on prayer reflects his own cry for the Kingdom of God. I know that I will read this book many times over the years to come. I also recommend reading: Created for Community,: Connecting Christian Belief with Christian Living Theology for the Community of God
