I wrote this book in 1993 using material from several books by Andrew Murray, and the publisher chose to make Andrew Murray the author, though Murray died in 1917. Shortly after the book was published, the publisher went out of business. For the last several years I have been expanding and editing the book to make it more usuable, with personal and group study guides included in the book (rather than expect people to buy a separate study guide). The book has grown far beyond the original in content and is far more useful. It is now more than 200 pages and 6 inches by 9 inches (trade paperback size). Though Murray's ideas are still present in the book, they are so far buried beneath the text, and the truths I have learned from working with people in AA and Al-Anon so prevalent. that I have taken over the authorship of the book. The book should be available in April or May of 2004. A website with lots of additional materials that help people use the book in groups, and that offers online fellowship for those in recovery (or the friends and loved ones of those in recovery) is at PrayerSteps.org. The old edition is definitely a collectable, but the new edition will help many no matter what their weakness or addiction.
