The Prayer Connection

What an awesome testimony! This book truly shows how wonderful the works of God are, even in the midst of tragedy. Going along with Bob on his walk with the Lord, even when he didn't know he was walking, brings truth and hope. The Lord certainly does work in mysterious ways. I look forward to many more books by these two wonderful authors.

My husband grew up with the author and we knew his first wife. We were in the background for some of the events depicted in The Prayer Connection. Reading this book brought so much of it back to our remembrance, but what we have kept with us is Bob's testimony of faith under the most seemingly helpless and hopeless conditions a father could endure. The awesome power of Bob's faith as he sought God has given us courage to test and question and seek God and to have the faith to see His miracles unfold in our lives. I recommend reading this book to anyone who is looking for tangible proof of God's existence.

The focus of this book is God's answers to prayers: often through miraculous intervention. However, I was more amazed by growth and endurance of the human spirit (both Bob's and Gloria's). I was impressed with their ability to forgive and reconcile with Bob's ex-wife for the sake of his daughter. I don't know that I could have done so under the circumstances. Although I am acquainted with the authors through business, I did not know of their personal turmoil. Their book is both poignant and inspiring. I bought seven copies for gifts to friends and family. You won't be disappointed if you read this book.
