EXCELLENT RESOURCES: BK/DVD

This was my first exercise book, which got me started on CORE fitness. Since then I have gone on to Pilates and other forms of exercise, joined Gold's Gym and work with a personal trainer 2x weekly. But, Paul Frediani's book is what started my quest to 'get fit'! The DVD is great. I don't know what the person with the review regarding Paul Frediani not showing any emotion was about, but I don't think his intentions were to win any American Idol awards! This is not 'entertainment', this is serious instruction and frankly, I think Frediani does a great job, not rushing any of the steps. I passed my book onto a friend, so I'm getting another one. If you would like to get into Pilates, pick up 'Pilates for Men', by Daniel Lyons, Jr. Very well illustrated, he takes you from 'beginner', through 'intermediate', onto 'advanced'.

I was looking for a exercise book that would combine my requirements for balance, flexibility and strength.Powersculpt for men fits the bill! As a rear leg above amputee I needed the challenge that a program like powersculpt provides. I have started with the simplest exercises and they provide penty of challenge for me but I am seeing improvements daily. The structure of the exercises are from beginner to advanced so it meets the needs of everyone. You can follow their structured dvd program or create your own. Some of the exercises actually involve messaging your body with the ball which provides the benefits of that type of therapy.Get on the ball and have some fun! Dave
