This is the best book I have read on the subject of networking. It focuses on the aspect of "giving" information to the people you network with rather than "getting" something from them. We would all be much better off if everyone practiced just a few of the techniques that the author shares. I plan on incorporating most of the 55 practical tips right away. The book is a fast-read and is very helpful if you want to connect with people for any purpose, whether it be for your career or for social reasons.

The strongest recommendation that I can give Donna's book is that it's never in my bookcase, but always on loan to someone in the midst of career transition, personal re-evaluation or eager to improve their networking skills.
