Yes, politically biased - but informative and easy to read.

It is light reading as the other reviewer mentioned - the intended audience is the general public. However, calling it irresponsible only indicates that the reviewer of this right-leaning book is more than likely a leftist thinker. I am on the right so I suppose I must consider the book to be unmistakably credible and true. I'm getting tired of people rating books solely based on the political bent of the book and not the qualities and faults. This book is clearly on the right so if your looking specifically for a left-leaning book do not get this one. Also, if you're looking for something academic you shouldn't bother with it. The author does bring up many good points to consider and is informative. Read it with the understanding that it is politically biased but is an important contribution to the popular/light material on Chiapas. It could be used as a balance to one of the many left-leaning books covering the same topic.
