This is a book of original poetry written by my mother, Esther, who was born on April 16, 1908 on a dairy farm in Whitehall, Wisconsin to Bert and Idella Pearl Chapin. When she was five years old, her mother began teaching her to play the organ using an old pump organ they had on the farm. Her father eventually traded a cow to buy her a piano. Down through the years, she also played the harmonica, the accordion and the ukulele. She played a piano concert at church for her 100th birthday.
