this is a classic & concise catholic catechism from a very well respected author like most catechisms i've seen, the material covers the 4 pillars of catholicism in similar percentages, about 30% for the apostles creed, 30% for the sacraments, 30% for the 10 commandments and 10% for the lord's prayer fr. hardon is a very good writer and adds a surprising amount of background material, historical info & useful tidbits of commentary when describing the catholic beliefs my only gripe about this book is the not so good binding, which basically falls apart after moderate usage. compared to the high quality bindings of (say) the usccb's compendium or adult catechisms, this binding is a shame for such a good book fortunately the entire text is also available on the internet, broken into many different pages, all having awesome color images too
