Excellent. Well written. Reads like a novel.

Bob Scott, a relatively new writer in the field of 19th century western history, is now writing about a book a year. This is his fourth book and he documents many of the battles that took place on the Nebraska and Wyoming plains. Scott writes well and documents his work from original sources. Any Ph.D. student of this era needs to be familiar with his work.
