Book Overview

From the award-winning, bestselling author of Hold Still and We Are Okay.

Colby and Bev have a long-standing pact: graduate, hit the road with Bev's band, and then spend the year wandering around Europe. But moments after the tour kicks off, Bev makes a shocking announcement: she's abandoning their plans - and Colby - to start college in the fall.

But the show must go on and The Disenchantments weave through the Pacific Northwest, playing in small towns and dingy venues, while roadie- Colby struggles to deal with Bev's already-growing distance and the most important question of all: what's next?

Morris Award-finalist Nina LaCour draws together the beauty and influences of music and art to brilliantly capture a group of friends on the brink of the rest of their lives.

This is the best book I have read in a long time!

This book is a must read if you love science fiction or if you love reading in general. If you like plot twists, comedy, and adventure you have it all in one book. I enjoyed this work and I am looking forward to reading some more of their work.

Generally I felt it was a fun, quick, interesting read.

Overall I don't think this is some amazing book, but it was a really fast, fun, and quick read. I must have read the book in 2 hours, and found it to be quite fun to get into the minds of the various characters of the book.

This book will cradle your interest to the very end.

The book has a great detail that leads to diffrent conections in the book. It has a great ending that is very unexspectedand gives you another perspective on alien life forms. The books climax is towards the end which gives it an unusal twist which makes it exciting. This book is definitely on my top ten list. The book has very few mistakes. It has to many details that are needed and the book would have went by a lot faster...

Excellent

I found this book to be enthralling. I had many other things to do but found myself completely absorbed by the characters and the story. I think the other reviewers are too into hardcore sci-fi to appreciate a good, well-rounded novel.

Actually we're feeling the used book love from a bunch of different directions. We asked some bloggers to sample Thriftbooks.com and publish their thoughts. They come at the site from different perspectives but in general the reaction is a big thumbs up.
