great physiology book for integrative health practitioners

This book has been one of my most important resources for many years, though it has been out of print (unfortunately) for some time. It is the only book I have found that focuses on the integrative, regulatory approach to understanding how the body and psyche function. This is critical for my work in the integrity health field. It is in essence the perfect physiology book for those people interested in integrative medicine and health care. All the body's functions are integrated and have regulatory mechanisms. The organs and tissues are not isolated structures, as one might think after studying conventional physiology texts. As a result of the proper functioning of the regulatory mechanisms, so beautifully described in this text, the body can function healthfully and as a whole. When the regulatory functions fail, the repercussions can be great and even devastating. This book deserves to be updated and reprinted. It is a classic and is yet it is not yet out of date. In fact, I believe it was a decade ahead of its time. It was marketed to scientists and young students only and did not fall into the hands of progressive thinkers. Now this type of information would fall into the mainstream. It should be marketed more aggressively as book intended for the educated lay reader, thousands of whom can understand this material. I hope Dr. Strand reads this and considers re-editing a new edition.
