Great resource, excellent in nearly all respects from the information and how it's written to design and layout...and beautiful photo examples all throughout. I originally bought this book when it first came out (it was for a college photography class) and I still read it today, both for reference and for enjoyment.

Professor Warren (I've had him) has produced an exceptional book that serves as a text book as well as a reference book. It is current, practical and well laid out. You will want this in your own library for years to come. C. Hollander

"Photography" is a wonderful, comprehensive reference for photographers at all levels. Learning about photographic techniques can sometimes be tedious and hard to understand. Bruce makes it about as easy as it can be. This book is very well organized and laid out. One of the things that makes it so nice is the clear photographs that serve as examples. Sometimes it is hard to detect the subtle differences in photographs. The photographs in this book help the reader see these differences (for example, the difference between warm and cold tone papers).
