A mighty breath of fresh air for philosophy

Simone Weil (1909-1943) was championed by Camus and TS Elliot and Robert Coles, etc., not only for her original philosophy, but also for exhibiting the same quest for truth and beauty in her life! Nye adds a great deal to this picture in a fascinating readable study of the philosophy based on action which compares with Luxemborg, before, and Arendt, after. Students of the latter will welcome three testaments that philosophy hasn't dried up ready to blow away!
