Get ready to drift into the twilight zone for a few believe it or not hours of fun!

There are some very unusual things that go on in the world, some are easily explained away by simple scientific explanation while others defy and stun our imaginations. We have twenty-one senses and together they "help us consciously create and experience the world," but what if something happened to one of them that altered your perception? Take for example someone who has Capras syndrome. People who have this syndrome think that others are "imposters." For example, you might think your own mother is someone impersonating herself. Annette Martin, a psychic detective actually helps law enforcement officials solve crimes. On the other hand, psychologist Thomas Gilovich challenges the purported success of psychics citing the fact that "appearances are deceptive sometimes." The "2005 Gallup poll found that nearly three out of four Americans believe in at least one aspect of the paranormal," with ESP being the front runner. In this book you will read about some phenomenal people, animals and experiences. You'll learn about Nostradamus, learn how scientists expose frauds, you'll meet Lily the ghost, learn about animal super senses, how animals can detect earthquakes and tsunamis, how animals can "read nature's warning signs," meet a cancer sniffing dog, read about amazing true precognitive dreams, meet a blind artist and more. Lot's more! If you enjoy Oliver Sacks' books, you'll want to snatch this book up either for yourself or the young adult in your family. This is a fun and phenomenal read and when I hit the story about the woman who taught herself to see using her sense of sound I was mesmerized. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of color in the book. All the photographs were a grainy black and white. Get ready to drift into the twilight zone for a few believe it or not hours of fun!
