Pete is Proud of his Chicken - Even if it's Rainbow Colored
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 20 years ago
You may have to get this book from the library or a used bookseller. It is a simple story about a class assignment to draw chickens. Pete's multi-colored chicken gets laughs from the other kids and doesn't make it onto the bulletin board with the best (realistic looking) chickens, so he rescues it from the teachers desk and takes it home. There he tells his mother how much he likes it (even if nobody else did). Great book for telling kids its okay to be proud of their work even if they aren't getting outside praise.
