After the tragic loss of both her husband and her sister, a woman struggles to overcome the guilt - and a devastating secret - when she falls in love with her sister's widowed husband.
Not every romance is pie in the sky and Sylvia Lett does a wonderful job of taking us inside a real relationship with its ups and downs. This is a steamy love story which I thouroughly enjoyed and the emotional aspect of the book was gripping. I am gladly giving this book 5 stars. Great job Sylvia!

Dr. Alex Carlisle is a pediatrician who lost his wife and unborn child in a car accident. His best friend, who also happened to be married to his sister-in-law was also killed in this accident. Samantha Taylor was Alex's sister-in-law and was helping to raise his children, she had no intentions of falling in love with him. After two years of mourning, Alex acknowledges his feelings for Samantha and is ready to act on them. Samantha, on the other hand, is hesitant. When the attraction is no longer deniable Samantha gives in, but the happiness they think they've found is threatened by secrets that might possibly destroy them all. I will readily admit that my first issue with this book was that Alex and Samantha were described as family and then they were attracted to each and other and then they were kissing in the kitchen. This really bothered me, but to the author's credit she weaved a love story that went well beyond the circumstances that bought this couple together. I enjoyed the twists and turns of the plot and the ultimate ending. There were a lot of characters to keep up with and a lot of details to remember in order to follow the plot successfully, but in the end Ms. Lett has provided a very entertaining read. For lies and secrets, conflicting emotions and a love that you can truly believe is possible, I definitely recommend this book. Reviewed by: AC Arthur, Black Butterfly Review

Dr. Alex Carlisle is a respected and loved pediatric doctor. After losing his wife and unborn child in an car accident, he never expected to find love again--especially not with his late wife's sister. Samantha Taylor never expected to be a widow at the age of 25, after losing her husband in the same accident that killed Alex's wife and her sister and being forced to raise their children alone. She never expected to find herself attracted to Alex. Enter Samantha's world

Alex was married to Samantha's sister, who has died. Samantha was married to Alex's best friend, who is dead. A baby died and a baby was switched. Now a number of years later, Alex would like to pursue his feelings toward Samantha, but Samantha feels a need to hold back. How will Samantha feel once Alex reveals a truth to her that will send shock waves through her life and possibly create an unbreechable chasm between them? The first paragraph held me spellbound--how long was the telephone cord? I had just begun to feel comfortable reading again when the backstory was unloaded, and it took a while to place all the names and the relationships in regard to the two main characters. After this the story flowed. The past brings to the present intrigue and enlightenment. Samantha's world not only reels from what Alex knows, but other past revelations touch her life and shake her basis for trust. Armchair Interviews says: Hold on, your heart will laugh and sing, and the last surprise will be better than the first.
