Learn from the Great Saints of the Past Century!

This book covers some of the most influential Christians of the past century. I was inspired by Francis Schaeffer's desire to give intelligent reasons for Christian faith, Amy Carmichael and Mother Teresa's desire to help the hurting people of India, Karl Barth's sharp mind, and Dietrich Bonhoeffer's prophetic witness against the Nazi regime. Every chapter mentions the life and legacy and faith of each Christian person under discussion. Even the up and down stories of Aimee Semple Mcpherson and Bob Pierce blessed me tremendously. Buy this book! It is great!

Great devotional book or Bible study guide

I like the the way the author has presented mini views which capture both strengths and weaknesses. He portrayed the basic characteristics that made each individual successful, while taking note of the things which had the potential to hurt or hinder their cause. This is an excellent tool for training future leaders of the Church. A Man Called Peter: The Story of Peter Marshall
