I have three of Joanna Lund's cookbooks and I enjoy each one. The recipes are very easy to follow and they really taste great. If you are on any kind of weight loss plan or have any dietary restrictions, you will be so very happy with this book because the recipes are very flavorful and you get nice big portions. Also, you don't have to worry if you are on a special diet and the rest of your family is not - your children will enjoy Lund's recipes too. I was shocked when my very picky meat & potatoes husband didn't turn up his nose at these dishes - he usually won't go near a vegetable other than corn & potatoes. He's enjoyed each recipe I have tried so far. What is so terrific about these recipes, besides the taste & ease of preparation, is that while the recipes are low in fat, calories, & sodium, they are also high in all of the good nutrients like calcium, protein, etc. Penny-Pinching Main Dishes is a good choice for a working mom/dad who has to rush to put food on the table and not spend a fortune doing so. There a lots of meatloaf, burger, casseroles, soups - it's not just an "eat like a rabbit" cookbook
