Beethoven and babies

At the end of the previous book, 'The Beethoven Medal' Ruth's boyfriend Patrick Pennington was arrested for assaulting a police officer. He's been in prison, and Ruth has been visiting him. Now he's out, and in the excitement of the moment, Ruth and Pat get carried away. And before you know it, a baby is on the way. The story of how Ruth and Pat cope with pregnancy, parenthood, finding a home, making a living, the interference of Pat's former girlfriend etc, is interesting and realistic, they are convincing characters and their story will keep you wanting to know what happens next.
