I took the CAT based GRE general test on 9/1/06. To prepare, I got this book, as well as "The Ultimate Math Refresher", the larger Barrons book, and the ETS book. This is excellent to brush up before taking the GRE. The tips are so useful and easy to remember. I would definately recommend this.

It teaches you how to read and understand the problem, how to simplify the problem, and how to narrow down choices if you are unsure. I didn't study the Verbal as much, but I'm sure if I would have my score would have increased a lot too. I spent the little time...
