The Best One I've Read

Now admittedly I have not read all that many Gunsmith stories so far. In fact this one is only the 4th one I have read but I have to say that it defiantly sticks out in my mind. It is a good suspenseful story but also includes some pretty colorful supporting characters that add to the story also this one seemed to have more action in it. Adams has to help a lady who is not popular with her fellow town folks because of the people she helps. In the process of doing this he finds himself having to deal with an assortment of colorful and unsavory characters and of course law-enforcement is next to useless. If you have not read a Gunsmith story before this would be a good one to start with but a word of warning the others will be hard-pressed to live up to this one.

"Once the knife was removed from where it had landed, the guard could only drop and feel his life pou

This is a straight forward adventure for Clint Adams. He encounters some people who are getting raw deals, and that is all he needs to take up their cause. In this saga we meet some very unusual people and situations. It doesn't take Adams long to determine who is the source of trouble in this story ,situated outside,in ,and around Tombstone,The Earps are no longer the law in Tombstone, and Clint is pretty much on his own if he intends to see that some justice and retribution gets done. The story is fast-paced,with lots of action and colorful characters. The writing is very business like and does not have much in the way of colorful language, expressions or description. However;if you like a story that moves right along and one that is not filled with a lot of mystery and distractions ,just to fill the pages, you should enjoy this episode.

One of the best

I keep thinking how great it would be to have a feature film based on The Gunsmith series. "Pariah" would be an excellent book to lead off with. It has all the action and suspense necessary for a great western. There are also some very interesting side characters whom I think would translate well to the big-screen. This is hands down one of the best books in the series. I really enjoyed this one a lot.
