Parents Who Cheat: How Children and Adults Are Affected When Their Parents Are Unfaithful

I thought this book was interesting, and dealt with a subject that no one has dealt with before. In my particular situation, I was able to find many stories that described how I felt when my mother cheated, and it made me feel that I can deal with the problems of being in a family where infidelity happened, instead of being ashamed. I now have hope and I was inspired by the forgivenees chapter. I know what to do now and I understand that it will take the experience of many to be able to deal with my pain. I would recommend this book to anyone who has been in this situation as I am now.

There has been many books written on divorce how it affects the women and the husband...but no one has addressed how it really affects the children. I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one who has been severly affected by my father's philandering and my again by my husband's. To this very day I cannot not trust any man. Everyone seems to gloss over how traumatized kids really do get:"kids are so resilient they will get over it" is what I always hear. FALSE! FALSE! FALSE!To my ex-husband: READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!! KUDOS! To Doctor Nogales for having the wisdom to write about such a controversial subject. This is a fantastic read. You will not regret it. I have bought a box of books for my family.....and that is not something I'm proud to say, but the truth hurts. We hurt those we love the most and in this book it certainly addresses THE SNOWBALL EFFECT OF CHEATING. ----CHAKAKAN
