Paradoxical Vista contains an illusionary collection of poems, combining the essence of wisdom and philosophy. Each poem helps the mind heal as the words tease the reader to visualise reality. This anthology questions life, time, space and the structure of society; while accepting death as a beautiful moment we all need to welcome. Paradoxical Vista is the first book published by D. J. Irvine. Can you handle what awaits in the pages of the unknown? Will you be able to work out what each poem means? Good luck And please enjoy. A Poetry BookImagine reading some modern poetry that questions your perception of reality. Paradoxical Vista was written to offer an answer to that very question. The poems were written between each soft page to offer up feeling and interpretation to the very thing that defines poetry. I like to think about the nature of time, space, life, our 21st-century society or even the very essence of words fusing together to make a sentence. Each poem wants to be unravelled while entwining philosophy and wisdom to make (you) the reader think. Of course, that was the inspiration for my primitive anthology. After writing my first collection, I noticed the poems seemed to hang and wanted to be investigated. These observations were the inspiration behind the book title and the wisdom snippets included throughout the book. I hope the accruement of Zen breaks up the poetry and gives you time to reflect on your consciousness. Trying to get through any poetry book in a few sittings is not recommended by myself. I read many published books by poets and find reading three to four in one session is enough. It's like watching a boxset on Amazon or a tv soap on the mainstream channels. At some point, you need to turn off. Knowing when to shut down or close a book makes the whole process more enjoyable because you look forward to the next episode in the future. You will also have more time to reflect, talk about it and recommend your finds to friends and family. If you want to read the whole book over a few hours or a few days, well, that's entirely up to you. I hope you reread the content and find something different from the content that will hopefully spark your mind with vivid visuals of pulsating, vibrant wonders. A Little About The AuthorAs I type these words onto this blank canvas, flashes of high definition pictures project through the front of my mind. My four sons faces, smile with delight and remind me of my journey on this tiny rock we call Earth. They have helped me carve out most of the pansophy that awaits your lucid being. My wife is a lush-emerald-glen found in the highlands of Scotland because she can break any storm that ignites around the family home. Emma is the peacekeeper, carer and nurtures our growing minds with love and tranquillity. If things seem tough or we need a moment of serenity, you can find us walking the vanilla beaches of Norfolk. We let the sea crash between our toes while gorging on fish and chips in a moment where time seems infinite. Growing up in a town called Wellingborough gave me a wealth of life experience I still use to this very day. I'm the oldest brother of five siblings, and we grew up in a little council house. We learned to stick together, help out, cook, clean, get ourselves to school and enjoy each others company. The laughs and tears we all shared helped fabricate this book into existence. My brothers and sisters look up to me, mainly because I'm the oldest, and I always had to set the rules around the house. My door is still open, and I keep in touch and talk to them all, primarily through all the highs and lows of life. With this being my first book on Amazon; I look forward to all the criticism, reviews, remarks, suggestions and outrageous profanities. Thank you for the purchase, and I hope you enjoy the impenetrable obscurities within.
