A wonderful story that makes you think.

I loved the examples she came up with, very intriguing.

Great book to read with your children

This is a great book to read with your youth to discuss the importance of principles and our purpose here on earth. Because it is written as a parable, each person will glean their own understanding and lessons, although it is clear that the author had certain lessons she hoped would be picked up, obviously by the youthful reader. But I enjoyed as an adult finding additional layers of meaning. There are so few books of this type--it was a real treat to have this opportunity. I hope to see more of this type written by the author and would recommend it to anyone.

Amazing Story

This story is very inspiring!!!! It reminds each of us of our eternal potentials. Jenny Phillips is an amazing song writer and now is also an amazing story teller!!!! She truly has touched thousands of lives through her incredible talents!!! This book is great for women of all ages!!! It will touch their lives and remind them of who they truly are-a child of God!!! We all need to be reminded of that! Thanks Jenny!!!!

A reminder we all need

This parable is written with the same beautiful simplicity and power as Jenny's lyrics. Parables are a way to take stereotypes (such as the prodigal son) and through a simple story bring out important truths. Jenny does this so well in this story! Even though the symbols are obvious (as they should be in parables), I have found myself thinking so much about how the mirror in the forest, the King's book, the line, and the palace in the distance relate to my life in so many different ways. This parable really is a parable of the plan of salvation, which is a message that couldn't be shared enough. We all need to be reminded constantly about what we need to be focusing on on this life, and that we will be meeting the king again soon. I recommend this book to everyone. It is especially great for Mother's to read to their children and for young women. But I, in my 30s, also loved this book and found many layers in the parable that relate to my life.

I LOVED this story!!! - a must read!

This is a beautiful parable! One of the sweetest stories I have ever read! It is a POWERFUL reminder of who we are and why we are here. This story portrays so well the truth that we are each truly a daughter of our Heavenly King, a literal princess. It is written for young women but ALL women will be inspired by it. I found myself relating to each princess. What a powerful message of what really matters and what will really bring true happiness. A beautiful reminder of just how much our Savior longs to and will help us along the way - no matter what mistakes we have made. You will no longer feel ordinary, but will realize just how noble you are. Truly a princess! A princess sent here for a grand purpose!
