Love the Book and the Author is Awesome!

This is in response to several who were frustrated about purchasing the punches and the amount needed to be able to make these beautiful projects. When I first purchased the Paper Bouquet book I also felt like that BUT, I found the punches at The Punch Bunch/Scrappily Ever After; a retail store that sells them, google it, and on ebay from "aquilla" seller. Only the mega type punches are in the $20.00 range and the smaller ones range from $4.00 up. There are a lot of punches used to make the individual flowers, but what I found when I first started making them was to decide what flowers did I really want to make first? Then I looked at all the punches that were needed to make them. Then I found out that there were a lot of the same punches that were used on a lot of the different flowers. Like the snowflake base, it is used as a base for several different flowers. So I purchased the punches for the flowers that I liked best first. Then I added the other punches that could be used in many of the flowers or that could be used in place of a specific punch shape. Look at the shapes of the punches and find others that can be used for it and several others. It may change the look of the flower slightly but you will get more for your money. I love this book and it's author whom I had a chance to meet and take classes from. She is such a sweet talented and helpful person! Remember that an auther doesn't always have total control on what and how a book's final design will be. I have made many beautiful floral gifts from this book and would buy any others from this author.

realistic flowers

Paper Banquet is just that-flowers so real you keep waiting for the aroma. Directions are clear and concise. Couldn't wait to get started. My friend and I spent three days cutting, sorting and creating. My only problem is that I wished they had included a source page for the punches. Some have been difficult to find.

Paper Bouquet

This is a wonderful book for those who are looking to make flowers from punches. I found this book to be informative as well as very easy to follow. The pictures clearly walk you through the steps so that even someone with no experience with punches would find this book an asset(especially in card-making).

paper punching

Amazing ideas for making 3D flowers with paper punches. The techniques show how to shape petals and enhance with colors to look like a variety of popular flowers. Beware: There are so many wonderful ideas, this book will cause a spending spree to buy more punches!
