Offbeat musician/inventor Leonard Solomon has created a captivating series of memoirs in short, amusing chapters. I read this little volume a few years ago and I still remember many of these stories. In his travels the author has apparently had a range of strange, often hilarious adventures involving stolen dynamite, japanese cuisine, and unspeakable landlords, among other things. Other stories take place closer to home and these, especially one about repairing a cemetary gate, have a quiet poignancy to them. The book's title comes from a delightful story about fixing things together with Solomon's young son. A fun read overall.
