Don't miss OUT OF TIME

A fast-paced thriller with heart, OUT OF TIME provides readers with the best of both worlds. The vivid view into Cuba is an added bonus. Erin's encounter with her father for the first time in decades is complex and compelling. The stakes are high. The potential for disaster real. Make the time for OUT OF TIME!

Exciting and Thrilling - Find Time for "Out of Time"!!!!

Out of Time's action scenes had my whole body tensing! Former CIA agent Erin Baker is pulled for a mission in Cuba, to rescue her former mentor, Joe. Joe went missing while investigating Erin's father's medical clinic. Erin hadn't seen her father since she was five. While she is sorting through things in Cuba, her FBI agent friend (maybe more than friend) Alec begins investigating in Florida. Erin and Alec have many close calls as they unravel what's been happening. Just as you think the action is over, Lewin turns things around again, for a shocking ending that both satisfies and makes you wonder. Out of Time mentions both sides of Cuban/American relations, and paints Cuba as a beautiful place, with most citizens coping well to their circumstances. The prologue is a preview of an action scene to come. Some people love how it gets you into the story, but if you don't like spoilers, don't read it.

A wonderful thriller!

Patricia Lewin's prologue is brief, tautly written and drop kicks the reader into the center of the action in her latest suspense novel, Out of Time. It simply compels the reader to continue turning the pages. Dr. Erin Baker left the CIA but is compelled to return to the field because of an opportunity to save a man's life and to meet her estranged father, Emilio Diaz, whom she hasn't seen in years. The agency wants Erin to go undercover in Cuba. And with her Cuban connections, she is the perfect choice. Erin travels to Cuba with the story that she is a teacher. It is there that she is to infiltrate a medical aid organization that may have a more sinister purpose. She meets with her father who works for that organization, Doctors for Life. But Alec Donovan of the FBI has strong feelings for Eric and wants more than a friendship. He also disapproves of the job she has taken on. Lewin's Out of Time is romantic suspense at its best. The characters are believable and fully developed and the action is exciting. If you haven't read, Out of Reach, you'll decidedly want to do so. Armchair Interviews says: If you like a scintillating thriller, Out of Time is for you.

Loved it!

Former CIA agent Erin Baker wants nothing more than to forget her last case, which involved her own family. However, only Erin can go undercover and infiltrate a medical aid group that may be hiding a darker purpose. Erin would have said no in a heartbeat, except that the organization's head doctor is her estranged father. Erin has not seen her father since she was small. But her father is not the only thing tempting Erin to accept the case. Someone Erin knows has disappeared while on the case before her. So off to Cuba she goes ... much to Alec Donovan's dismay. ***** Once I began I wanted not interruptions. This thriller will keep you on your toes, if not on the edge of your seat. LOVED IT! ***** Reviewed by Detra Fitch of Huntress Reviews.

terrific romantic suspense

After completing a case that ends in tragedy, FBI Crimes Against Children expert Alec Donovan goes to Miami instead of reporting in because he needs solace and only the woman he loves Dr. Erin Baker can provide t. However, before they can share dinner, CIA operative Bill Jensen arrives asking Erin to help the Company whom she used to work for by offering her the only carrot she would accept. Erin is to go to Cuba where her biological father Dr. Emilio Diaz works for Doctors for Life. She has not seen him in years since he vanished from her and her mother's lives. While visiting her dad under the guise of a teacher (not a stretch as she is a professor), Erin will try to learn what happened to Agent Joe Roarke. Though angry at her dad, Erin goes to Cuba and finds fatherly love, but something much more sinister too. OUT OF TIME, the sequel to OUT OF REACH is a terrific romantic suspense tale with much of the emphasis on the action and relationship between father and daughter; the love subplot between Alec and Erin takes a back seat to a degree, but never vanishes from the minds of the audience. The story line is fast-paced as Erin seemingly reconciles with her father who explains why he disappeared even as she looks into what happened to Joe while an anxious Alec is prepared to leave Florida as a one man cavalry. Fans will appreciate this strong thriller. Harriet Klausner
