The minute Arnie Simpson lays eyes on Ava Ward, he decides the MD after her name stands for Major Deviant. Her slender figure, white hair and unearthly intelligence make him want to lock limbs with... This description may be from another edition of this product.
An alien queen sends two infants to Earth to be raised among humankind, to test the veracity of the Earth conception of "fate." Arnie Simpson is an airplane mechanic, a certified genius who longs for the vanguard of superior life forms. Everybody he knows scores on a level he considers barely intelligent, only lucky. Arnie is a very high intelligence individual plunked down into a decent, but unintelligent, family. He worries about somehow passing on dimwit genes to his own offspring, should he decide to have any, so contact and intercourse with superior life forms seems the obvious solution. If superior life doesn't exist somewhere, well, Arnie's life would be just a rather unfunny joke, not to mention a crying shame. When he spots Dr. Ava Ward at the airport, Arnie experiences an electrical charge he attributes to the presence of another high intelligence. Arnie is not at all interested in external appearance, only in brain capacity, and he is certain he's just found someone who couldn't possibly be Earth-birthed. Ava wants to meet him because she's heard so much about his genius level capacity from her best friend; Arnie is the best man at Ava's friend's upcoming wedding. Arnie almost immediately decides that not only is Dr. Ava brilliant and desirable, but also that she is undoubtedly alien, which of course only intrigues Arnie all the more. Out of This World is a hot little humourous story with an undercurrent of truth. What a happy event for two such intellectuals to find each other, by discernment and not by hooking up because one or the other "looked hot"! Ava and Arnie are both appealing characters and this reader hoped immediately they would race to a happy ending. Annie reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

This is the funniest erotic book I have ever read. Arnie Simpson is a one of my favorite characters. His use of language will have you smiling and sometimes laughing out loud. His relationship with Ava is predictably crazed. Her career choice is unusual and the scene where Ava and Arnie talk with his family about her profession is hysterical. I highly recommend this book.
