From the acclaimed author of Garden Spells comes an enchanting tale of lost souls, lonely strangers, secrets that shape us, and how the right flock can guide you home. Down a narrow alley in the small coastal town of Mallow Island, South Carolina, lies a stunning cobblestone building comprised of five apartments. It's called The Dellawisp and it is named after the tiny turquoise...
It had mystery and it had intrigue but it wasn't overwhelming. It was light and fun. It wasn't overly complicated or hard to keep up with.
It was a book you read by the pool or on vacation where you get lost but don't have to overthink it. Cute.
Ii Loved It !!!!

Sarah Addison Allen never fails to delight me with her characters and her stories. I have read every single one of her novels, and I just keep coming back for more. I think that Zoey's character could have used a bit more development, but I still loved it. The mix of characters; Zoey, Charlotte, Mac, Oliver, Frazier, Lucy and Lizbeth and the stories about their lives and how they all come to be together at The Dellawisp is great storytelling. The ghosts just add to it, although most aren't truly revealed until the ending with the exception of Camille. The tiny, whimsical dellawisp birds just added to the story. I won't go into the story line other than to say it was delightful and atmospheric and I loved it. If you want a good read you cannot go wrong with any of Sarah Addison Allen's novels. Looking forward to whatever she writes next.
