TAKING MATTERS TO NEW HEIGHTS Master manipulator Megumi HinoHino-chanis enraged by her failure to bring down timid Yaya Higuchi and her alter ego, the confident and boisterous Nana. So Hino-chan decides to take the ultimate revenge. Using the singing contract that Yaya desperately wishes to null and void as a means to her mean-spirited ends, Hano-chan makes her an offer. She will rip it up . . . if Yaya agrees to play a little game with her. If Yaya can catch Hino-chan and steal the contract, Hino will cancel the agreement and return the application fee. Sounds simple, yes? But there's a little hitch. Yaya must chase Hino while skydiving!
Megumi Hano has discovered Yaya's secret: Namely, that the mild-mannered Yaya that she dominates and has enslaved with a talent agency contract is the same person as the dreaded Nana! So that makes her in the know about something Yaya herself doesn't realize. Hano agrees to tear up the contract....IF Yaya can grab it out of her hands after they've jumped out of plane and skydived to the ground! She planned it this way because she knows Yaya is deathly afraid of heights. Yaya will also have to deal with her deepening feelings towards Moriyama and deal with a sexual pervert who's been terrorizing girls on the subway. There's really nothing incredible about Othello. It's just good entertainment. The characters are pretty interesting and you're always trying to figure out how Nana is going to one-up her enemies as she always does. The story about the sexual deviant on the train really touched on some issues that all women have to deal with. And it's so typical that most of the male characters in that story just blow off the harrassment as "boys will be boys" and tell the girls to get over it. Ikesazwa could work on the backgrounds in the manga, because most pages are lacking them, and the manga doesn't really have a sense of place.
Othello volume 5

Othello is a manga about a shy girl named Yaya, and her kick-butt alter ego Nana. In this volume Nana and Megumi (a recent manipulator of poor Yaya)have a show down! Not only that but Yaya and the nice guitarist, Moriyama, are on the verge of a romantic relationship. This manga has a punkish feel, with lots of "justice" being served to evil doers by Nana. Alot of twists, laughs, and romance! Othello just simply rocks! Just read one of the manga's volumes and you'll be hooked! The end of volume 5 will leave you wanting to know how this story goes!! I seriously can't wait until volume 6 comes out! I give this manga 5 BIG stars! ^_6
First Review(Yay!)

I was looking for some good manga and one day I saw Othello. I totally loved it, so I bought the next book and I LOVE OTHELLO!It's basically about shy Yaya who has a split personality named Nana who beats up Yaya's evil "friends". The only thing is that Yaya doesn't know about Nana, and can't remember anything. I guess the reason I like it a lot is because I can relate to her. Overall, it's a good book. Since this is my first review, I'm gonna sign off the same way the next review I do. "The fact remains... That I like chocolate!!!" (please don't ask!)
