Very good

This book is a very good exam cram. Usually Oracle books are very long and thick. I guess it's because they are written using cut and paste. But not this one. It's one of the shortest book (I mean number of pages) but it gives you all required infromation for these two exams. There are a few mistakes, but they are obvious and not confusing. I passed both exams with a good score. But you should remember, that these exams'll be retired in August, 2000. Probably, if you have strong Oracle 7 background it would be easier to you to get Oracle 7 certificate and then upgrade it to Oracle 8. I did it and it was very easy because there is another Coriolis book for the upgrade exam and it's also very nice.

Simply Superb

As the book title tells this book is for OCP it covers many important topics in a simple way. I have a doubt whether OCP questions are based on this book. We can see around 90% of questions from this book. A must for OCP preparation. If something is not clear (not understood) then read other document. Such a book should not be diluted with briefing of minute items. Fantastic for OCP.

Best Book I ever read

This is the one of the best book I have ever read about oracle. database It answer lot of Mystry question in such a easy way that life as Oracle DBA get very easy not only for the exam but in real practical scenerios.

Excellent final review and test questions.

This book provides an excellent final review to read the last couple of days before taking the test. The sample test questions, along with answers and explanations, are excellent as well. For test 1: I recommend studying the Oracle PL\SQL book as the exam covers much more of PL\SQL than expected. Be sure and work ALL of the problems! Then study the official Oracle study guide and then this Exam Cram. For test 2: Study the Kevin Loney Oracle DBA book and then study the official Oracle study guide and then review it with this Exam Cram.Just my two bits worth... take it with a grain of salt...

This book is a MUST!!!

This book is excellent. I have previously been a Microsoft DBA with little background in database theory. This book is excellent and is the sole reason that I was able to pass this exam. There is an excellent section on data modelling which I would recommend for ANY dba that is working on large systems. It is an excellent reference on SQL and would be all that is really needed to generate complex reports for data warehouse style systems. I am very pleased with the results that I solely owe to this fine publication.
