With taste and heartfelt issues

I did appreciate this book and the author's reason for writing it. The main characters were believable and held the reader's attention. I am now reading Beyond Tuesday Morning and have plans to read Every Now and Then. Another good one to add with these three is To the Moon and Back. I loved the mystery of Jake Bryan/Eric Micheals. What a beautiful message! If you have not read these books, please do. It will speak to you personally.

Inspiring

I'm not even sure what words to use with this series. Sweet, inspiring, heartwarming. A MUST for any reader!

Captivating from page one!

I love this whole series! This book/series is a journey that starts in page 1. You fall in love with the characters and become invested in their lives and then the 9/11 happens. Karen Kingsbury takes you on an unforgettable ride. If you like stories about history, and you are at all interested in the events of 9/11, get this book series, you wont regret it!

A Subject Close to Home

Karen Kingsbury does an outstanding job of telling a story revolving around the events that happened on September 11,2001. Instead of focusing on the "political" issues, she weaves a story of three families "before and after". She makes you keenly aware of the "fine line" between what is and what can be. You will hug your loved one just a bit longer and be thankful for every day that you are together. A must read!!

Very Moving -- Especially for those who have been there.

I cannot possibly recommend this novel highly enough! Kingsley's work reminds us again what it is to be human. On the morning of 9/11 I, like the rest of the country, sat is absolute horror and shock, watching the events in NY unfold on television. I thought instantly of a dear friend who daily stopped at one of the towers for coffee and a bagel before taking the train into the city. Where was my dear friend that day? As the towers fell, I feared he was somewhere at the bottom of that smoking pile of rubble and I wouldn't get the chance to tell him one more time how very treasured his friendship is to me and how dearly I love him. The emotions of the women in this novel were so true to what I experienced for 3 days until I finally got a phone line into Brooklyn to check on my friend and heard his voice on the other end, that I cried through most of this book. I could relate to the fear of the unknown and how essential prayer and my faith was to me then and continues to be today. Thankfully my dear friend was alive and well, but for so many whose story had a different ending, the pain continues. This novel reminds us that, regardless of ethnicity or color of skin, we are all of one race -- human -- and we all bleed, laugh, cry, and love. What a spectacular novel this one is!

A Must Read That Will Captivate You

This is the first book I've read by the author, and I will read anything else by her I can find. Kingsbury weaves a story that deals with love and commitment, using the September 11 tragedy as a background. You will understand the power of faith and love even more after reading this book, and how really good things can come out of the worst situations. You will have trouble putting it down once you get into it.

A truly wonderful book.

I had great difficulty putting this book down. It is a very touching story that gives great honor and respect to those who lost their lives in the Twin Towers.

Soul-Stirring

Actually, I would give it 10 stars!!!! This is the first Kingsbury book I've read. Couldn't put it down. Smiled, laughed, cried a lot. Very believable characters. Very touching scenes. Her descriptions of the persons involved in this story make you wonder if this is not fiction, but real. I fell in love with the characters. I was convicted in my spirit when the characters rededicated their lives to God.
