Add that to a student who reaches out for Lela's help in understanding her newfound sexuality, a group of parents who twist the facts, and a school board that is completely homophobic, and you have another great book by Diane Salvatore. This book is not a romance. It is a coming out story... both for the student and for the teacher. (Note - there is no romantic relationship between these women, but they learn much from each other.) It's an enjoyable read if you're looking for something deeper than a typical formula romance.

Truly one of the best lesbian fiction's I have read to date. Diane Salvatore has the ability to reach many emotions...all at once. Her characters are alive with passion, excitement and a realistic view of the world in which we live. She writes in such a way that it was impossible not to be captivated by their lives and how they were unfolding. It sounds cliche but I could not put it down and was sad when I got to the end. I have lent this to many friends and each of them found it to be extremely enjoyable...I hope you do also!
