One of a Kind

Over a decade ago, I stumbled upon a way to make money that combined my love of art with collecting dolls. In what quickly became a whirlwind romance with my newfound career I was on the fast track of not only selling my creations to people all over the world - but commanding the prices that I wanted for them and becoming a published author twice over During the few years I spent inside this niche market I met many wonderful, giving, sharing people who helped make our doll artist community a warm and caring one. One day I found out, that it was not all moonlight and roses on the horizon. There were some very dark, negative people who were feeding off the fuel of one - who was so persistent that my career almost ended over the petty jealousies and cattiness that still exists in the community today. I feel that with this book, it goes hand in hand with my two books that were published in 2000 and 2003 by Hobby House Press, currently only available on the secondary market. It also offers more advanced techniques to more seasoned artists. With this book, One of a Kind - I feel that I empower artists to take that first step into the business by using what inspires them..just as I did. I share how I got my start and how I continued to excel. I also feel that it teaches those who are experiencing the less than brighter side of the business to stick with it and develop a thicker skin. It is crammed full of great ideas and even better advice because, after all you meet all kinds everywhere you go All in all, I believe these three books are the tools every artist needs to be able to make it in this business.
